Clydebank Camera Club

In 2010 The Association formed a Community Partnership with Clydebank Camera Club.

The Camera Club, based locally in Dalmuir Community Centre, noticed the excellent work that the Association was doing within the local community and wish to provide their assistance in covering their Community Development events and any other projects that required photography. They understood that quality photography can be a very costly business and realised that the Association relies on donations and goodwill to continue and grow its Community Development Program.

The Association was very eager to accept the offer of the Camera Club and the first pictures were taken by its Secretary Elaine Findlay at its Soccer 6's tournament in October 2010.

In return for the goodwill of the Camera Club the Association offered to sponsor an annual trophy at the club. It was agreed in May 2011 to donate a cup entitled 'The Charles Meikle Trophy' named after long serving late member Charlie Meikle. The cup will be presented to the member judged best within the best sporting image category and presented for the first time at the clubs 2012 presentation.

Clydebank Camera Club welcomes all members, new and old. The club runs from early September until late April each year at Dalmuir Community Centre, Duntocher Road, Dalmuir. Wednesdays -7.30pm til 9.30pm. For further information please email clydebank_cam_c@yahoo.co.uk
